Jon Bjornsson appointed CEO of Veritas

Jon Bjornsson has been appointed CEO of Veritas. Jon brings extensive experience in business management and transformation projects both in Iceland and Scandinavia. Most recently, Jon served as the CEO of Origo hf., and he has previously held CEO positions at Festi and Kronan, Orf Genetics, Magasin du Nord, and Hagar. Jon is also a board member of Boozt.com, Origo Solutions, and Dropp. Furthermore, he has been a board member of Artasan, one of Veritas' companies, since 2023.

"I am looking forward to joining Veritas and participating in the development of the company's continuing success. Using the opportunities of digitalization we aim to strengthen the company’s infrastructure and prepare for further growth," says Jon, who will start his new role at the end of August 2024.

Thoranna Jonsdottir, who has been the interim CEO since September 2023, will continue in the role until Jon takes over. She will remain a member of the board of Veritas and take on other assignments for the company.
