The Veritas Group makes donations to Samhjálp and Foreldrahús (Parents‘ House-Youth without Drugs)

Veritas and subsidiaries every year make donations to various causes; the biggest donations being made near year’s end. This year donations were made to Samhjálp and Foreldrahús (Parent’s House) („Vímulaus æska“ – Youth without Drugs). Apart from money, employees collected a variety of clothes for Samhjálp’s clients, as well as knitting gloves and participating in wrapping up Samhjálp’s Christmas presents.

Samhjálp and Foreldrahús take care of important services in society and their operations are professional and of good quality. Samhjálp helps people that have suffered defeat in life because of alcoholism and addictive disorders, poverty or other sociological problems, and contributes to their welfare and self-preservation. The operations of Foreldrahús are divided into education, prevention and counselling. They offer family counselling, self-image support courses, both for parents and children, as well as supporting treatment for youngsters that are tampering with or doing drugs and having a substance abuse problem.
