The Veritas group's donations in December

The Veritas group's biggest donations to good causes are made in December each year. This year it was Kvennaathvarfið (Women's shelter) and Samhjálp that were chosen.

The Women's shelter runs two shelters in Iceland, where women and children can stay if they cannot stay at home because of mental or physical violence or if they are victims of trafficking. The Women's shelter has been raising money in the last months, to be able to build a new house for the operation.

Samhjálp has a long history of helping people in need, e.g. because of alcoholism and substance abuse, poverty or other sociological problems. Samhjálp gives over 90,000 meals to people in need every year.
